Free Patterns
Plumage Shawl
Reversible three-color half-ellipse shawl starting with a single brioche section, followed by a seed stitch band, then two-by-one brioche, and finished with a chevron border. Fingering weight yarn. Designed by Alison L Martin.
Walking in Circles Socks
Socks with a striking arrow and chain design created with slipped stitch mosaic colorwork (one color per row). Socks are knit flat sideways and grafted together at the end with the seam running down the back. 4 sizes. Fingering weight yarn. Designed by Anne-Lise Maigaard.
Between the Trees Sweater
Colorblocked cable pullover inspired by forests of the Sierra Nevadas and knit with a Twisted Trees stitch with some of the cables knit in two colors across sections to accentuate the resemblance to trees. Sizes Women's XS to 5X. Designed by Amy Gunderson for Knitty. Aran weight yarn.

Reversible cowl knit in two layers with a colorful garter stitch layer peeking through a 4 round repeat mesh lace layer. DK weight yarn. Designed by Jocelyn Tunney.

Baby and toddler sized v-neck cardigan vest with cabled bordered button front. Sizes Newborn to 3 years. Sizes to 24 months use only one skein of self-striping 4 Ply weight yarn. Designed by Stylecraft.
Dog or Cat Amigurumi
Cute animal stuffie knit flat with variations. Instructions includes photos and links to video tutorials. No size given though it looks like it might be about 8 inches tall in DK yarn. Any weight yarn. DDuDDu designed by mongaknit.
Fringed Cardigan
Easy duster length cardigan with elbow length sleeves, knit with stockinette and dropped stitches, and finished with fringe. Knit flat with no picking up stitches. Worsted weight yarn. Designed by Marie Castro.
Asthma Inhaler Carrier
A mini sock for an inhaler to protect it and keep it handy and secure. The toe opens for access to the mouthpiece. Just attach to a keyring, lanyard, purse, or backpack to keep it easy to find when needed and difficult to lose. Ony uses a few yarns of Fingering weight yarn so it's a great use for leftover sock yarn. Designed by BMakingJoy.

Odyssey Cowl
The Ithaca cowl is knit with motifs symbolizing different scenes and elements from the Odyssey. Some of the symbols shown in the picture are (from left, the beginning of Odysseus' travel) a trident for Poseidon's anger, a ship's wheel, cyclops eye, then wolves and herbs for Circe. To the right, Charybdis and Scylla are symbolized by a whirlpool motif and tentacles, below a section of a sun for Helios, Hermes' wings, and a zinnia for Calypso. There are other motifs not visible in this picture. Fingering weight yarn. Designed by Audrey Borrego.
