For the Birds
Round knit bird house for the feathered friends in your yard. You can also use as a decorative piece in your house. Some knitters have stuffed with suet as a bird feeder. Shaped with a balloon (though some knitters just stuffed with plastic bags) and felted. Many knitters modified by reducing the door size with an i-cord or crocheted border. Phil’s Knee Warmers
I spend a lot of time kneeling on cold hard ground or sidewalks when I garden which is really hard on my knees. These were originally designed to help people who've had knee surgery keep their knees warm. I think they'd be great for cushioning and warming knees while we garden too. Uses about 1 skein 120 - 150 yards (110 - 137 m) of Worsted weight yarn. Designed by Sarah Peasley.
Handy Square Cushion
This also is a fun way to keep comfortable while gardening or picnicking outside. Sitting pillow knit in a 2 color, 4 row repeat shaker rib that gives a tweed look. Size Approx 24" [61 cm] square x 4" [10 cm] thick. Designed by Yarnspirations Design Studio. Worsted weight yarn.

Garden Clog Socks
Simple easy to memorize ankle socks for wearing with clogs or other low rise shoes. They are cast on toe-up and feature a simple short rolled cuff. 3 sizes Small (US 5-6), Medium (US 7-8), Large (US 9-10). Uses 1 skein of Worsted weight yarn. Designed by Sarah Stevens.
Sit-upon Outdoor Seating
This sit-upon portable mat will keep you warm and dry when you sit on rough rocks while hiking, damp ground while gardening, or stadium seats. Rolls up compatcly to fit neatly in backbacks or carryalls. Knit in a ribbed cable with a rugged worsted wool, which yields a dense, reversible, and doubly-thick fabric.
