Gentle Baby Blanket
Lace baby blanket knit in 6 stitch 4 row repeat. Increases and decreases are done in alternating odd rows so stitch numbers will not be the same in every row. Even rows are purl. Pattern adds the garter stitch border after knitting the blanket, but I think you could experiment with knitting it with the blanket, though I think would make the borders will be wavy because of the lace. Waffle Afghan
Ana Sancho Rumeu’s squishy afghan has a 4-row, 3 stitch repeat. Once you learn it, it goes quickly. The border is an attached i-cord but if you can substitute a garter or seed stitch border if you want something simpler. Some knitters have used multi-color yarn which looks great in this stitch. This was designed as a regular sized afghan so you might customize the size when you knit.
