May 3 World Labyrinth Day
World Labyrinth Day celebrates the contemplative practice of walking a labyrinth. This Baltic Finger Labyrinth is a smaller alternative knit with a labyrinth in a double spiral (or Baltic style) design that can be used as a lap blanket for meditation and prayer, table decor, or wall hanging. May 18 Shrek Day
On May 18, 2001, audiences fell in love with a green ogre when Shrek opened in theaters. Ogre My Ogre Hat is knit to look like Shrek's head. Gunilla Leavitt’s cute hat is a fast knit in bulky yarn.

Bee Day was designated by the United Nations on the birthday of Anton Janša, who pioneered modern beekeeping techniques.
