Diamond Lattice Scarf
Textured scarf with an interesting reverse design using knit and purl stitches to create raised welt diamonds in the Imitation Lattice stitch pattern from A Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara Walker. It looks to me like the purple section has been blocked but the green section has not which creates more of a cabled look. Used half a skein of Mandala DK weight yarn. Flamin Fireflower Hat
Quick colorful hat knit with clustered Fireflowers stitches from Barbara Walker’s A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns in a variegated yarn on a contrasting background. The Fireflowers may look difficult but are worked with only one color each round; and they only require 30 yards/metres of contrast yarn, so it's great for leftover yarn.
